At the time Nokia mentioned about the N9 with the first MeeGo operating system, they also announced that three new phones would be coming out, offering a cheaper and more flexible option. All phones are touch and type, plus they look the same but all are priced at a cost that is manageable. The Nokia C2-02, C2-03, and C2-06 are S40 slider phones, has a 10MB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB via a MicroSD slot, and can recognize handwriting also.
The Nokia C2-02 is reported not to have dual SIM card functionality, while the C2-03 and the C2-06 has it, where there is no need to shut down the unit just to exchange SIM cards. Despite of the looks, all the devices can browse the web with its Nokia Browser, display maps, and support various media. According to Nokia’s press release, the C2-02 and C2-03 may price out at $105, and the C2-06 at $112. All of them are expected to be released 3rd quarter of 2011.
