Videotron Introduces 6GB Data Plan For $30/month
Quebec has been heated with competition over the past several months, mainly due to Videotron stepping up their network to “4G”. Majority of the carriers have introduced an “unlimited Quebec” plan that basically includes unlimited local and long distance calling within Quebec. Stepping up the game once again is Videotron by offering “for a limited time” a 6GB data plan for $30/month.

Judge Rejects Samsung’s Request To Peep Apple’s iPhone 5, iPad 3
Just as we expected, Judge Lucy Koh has rejected Samsung’s request to get its hands on Apple’s iPhone 5 and the iPad 3. She explained that while Samsung is entitled to “parity”, the request for unreleased, unrevealed products was a bit overreaching. That’s the good news for Apple. The bad news is that the rejection of Samsung’s motion isn’t permanent. A brief passage in the document hints that Apple may not get the preliminary injunction it will likely request to bar Samsung from selling certain products in the U.S.

Sony Ericsson Introduces The Xperia Ray And Xperia Active For The Fashion And Fitness Focused
Sony Ericsson has finally come clean about the Urushi or, as it’s now known, the Xperia ray (SE spits in the face of your capitalization conventions). As we already heard, it’s packing a 1GHz processor, an 854 x 480, 3.3-inch Reality Display, an 8.1-megapixel rear-facing camera, and Android 2.3, all while coming in at a svelte 9.3-mm thin. The company also unveiled another uppercase eschewing handset, the Xperia active — a phone for those who spend as much time running or snow boarding as they do texting.

To 4G Or Not To 4G? Consumers Don’t Give A Hoot
There’s been a lot of hype around 4G of late, with talk about how the new network standard provides increased speeds, better device functionality, and all that jazz. But is 4G a term that actually has real world meaning, or is it just some place-holding buzzword used by marketers to stoke consumer excitement over buying a new phone? Clearly, carriers and service providers could do a much, much more comprehensive job of explaining to consumers what 4G actually is and what the benefits are, beyond “OMG-super-fast-sexy speed!”

Huawei U6150 will be available via WIND, as the handset is now listed on the carrier’s “Coming Soon” webpage. WIND customers will soon be able to purchase the phone for only $98 upfront and will be able to add various add-ons, including Voicemail, Infinite Bangladesh, Infinite China or Infinite Hong Kong.
