According to internal Sprint documentation, the carrier is preparing to increase the upload cap on its WiMax service to 1.5Mbps upload from its current 1.0Mbps cap. The increase is expected to go live tomorrow and is applicable to the entire mobile device lineup with no action necessary on the customer’s part. The fixed device lineup for home use is excluded from the upload cap increase. For its part, Sprint PR rep Stephanie Vinge has also confirmed the upload speed increase, but neglected to give a date on when the increase would go into effect.
