INQ, the mobile device manufacturer for the Facebook generation, today announced that its newest smartphone, INQ Cloud Touch is now available in Canada. Internationally celebrated for its unprecedented Facebook integration, and Android-made friendly technology, the INQ Cloud Touch is built for social media fans. The phone is now available across Canada from Telus and Koodo Mobile.
Featuring a visual Facebook® News Feed on the Home screen, the INQ Cloud Touch has Facebook at its heart and provides quick access to your favourite friends and activities. The device uses Facebook’s single sign on service, so you’ll sign in just once to Facebook at start up. From that point on, your News Feed is displayed on the Home screen, where you can see videos, links and status updates as well as live icons and deep links to Facebook Chat, Friends, Wall and Messages.

The INQ Cloud Touch uses Facebook’s social graph API, allowing users to keep up with the friends they interact with most just by tapping the People icon. ‘Events’ displays your Google™ and Facebook events side-by-side in your phone’s Calendar, as well as notifying you of Facebook friends’ birthdays. Want to show off about the coolest places you’ve been visiting? Users can check in to their favorite shops, restaurants and clubs with Facebook Places, straight from the Home screen.

The INQ Cloud Touch is a sleek touch screen device featuring a 3.5” full HVGA touchscreen, a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with VGA video capture and a 600MHZ processor. Running on Google’s Android™ operating system (version 2.2), it provides super-fast access to all the latest functions and applications, and has the ability to act as a mobile hotspot. The smartphone also comes pre-loaded with doubleTwist premium as the default music player, making it easy to wirelessly sync all your local music for free.
INQ keeps in tune with the latest colour trends from the catwalk to consumer trends, and worked with the Brooklyn-based artist and designer, Linda Zacks, to design the packaging.
