Apple has got its beating stick out again and this time round it is to punish Amazon, Apple is suing the online store because of its new Amazon App Store for Android name. Trademark war it is then as they say so let the battle begin.
The new Amazon App Store Is Causing Trouble for Apple and that is all down to the Apple trademark name ‘App Store’, even though Amazon’s App Store is for the Android market and Apple’s App Store is for the iOS market, this leaves Amazon thinking that they have not infringed any trademark wrong doings Apple see’s things a little differently.
Apple filed a lawsuit against Amazon on March 18 according to T3 by way of Bloomberg, Amazon has yet to comment on the above matter but a Apple spokesperson has come forward and made a statement “We’ve asked Amazon not to copy the App Store name because it will confuse and mislead customers.”
Apple is already suing Microsoft and now Amazon, let us say to all future business who wish to open and store that gives customer apps to stay away for the name “App Store”, think of a new name like Application Room or Amazon Store Apps.
PhonesReview Say’s: OK so Apple is not hot on the idea of anyone using the name “App Store” as they say it is their trademark so does that mean Amazon can use the name Amazon Store Apps? Surely Apple cannot stop anyone using Store and apps in one title. Please do let us know what you think of the above, do you think Apple is being a little too fussy?
