As expected, Sprint has launched the HTC Pro 7 Windows Phone 7 smartphone as the HTC Arrive. The phone features Microsoft’s long-awaited NoDo software update, which enables copy / paste functionality and CDMA support as well as other fixes and improvements.
Specifications for the Arrive consist of a 5.0 megapixel camera with flash, autofocus and 720p HD video capture, stereo Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS radios. The phone also features a 3.6-inch display at 800 x 480 resolution, sliding and tilting QWERTY keyboard and is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 16GB of built-in storage and access to an additional 25GB of cloud storage.
While Sprint is offering the smartphone for $199.99 after new 2 year agreement and additional $100 mail-in rebate, Amazon is offering the phone for $49.99 after the same 2 year agreement with no additional rebates necessary. One caveat of the offer however requires that the account be active for 180 days, otherwise two ETFs will apply with one from Sprint and one from Amazon to recover the massive subsidy.
