There are quite a few different companies looking into NFC payment systems, we already know that both Google and Apple are working on NFC payments, and now it looks like major online retailer Amazon, is working on an NFC payment system.
According to a recent Bloomberg report, the team behind Amazon Payments, which is Amazon’s own online payment system, similar to PayPal, is looking into producing an NFC payment system that would let people pay for goods and services in stores with their mobile phones.
Amazon can obviously see, just like Google and Apple, that NFC payments are going to be big business in the next couple of years, and we suspect we will see quite a few more companies looking into Near Field Communication technology in the near future.
