General manager for company’s Turkish operations fills role left open since Mark Loughran’s departure last September
Nokia has appointed its Turkey general manager Conor Pierce as its new UK general manager this month.
Pierce joined Nokia in 2004 and has held general manager positions in Turkey and Ireland, having previously spent six years with Ericsson.
He will be Nokia’s third UK general manager role since Simon Ainslie left in late 2008 and was consequently succeeded by Mark Loughran.
Sami Lehtinen has been in the job on an interim basis since September, following Loughran’s departure to Pace Enterprise.
Lehtinen will now be given a global role. James Kitto, who took on Lehtinen’s position as UK and Ireland retail director, has now been given that job on a permanent basis.
Kitto joined Nokia in 2008 as business development manager. He has also been head of Nokia UK retail and MVNO.
