Former Everything Everywhere online sales director Steve Heald becomes the latest high-profile figure to join Shebang
Shebang Technologies has appointed former Everything Everywhere online sales director Steve Heald (pictured) as its new group commercial director.
Heald was sales director with Orange for five years, prior to the formation of the EE joint venture 10 months ago. He is the latest high-profile figure to join Shebang, following the appointment of former Avenir MD and Yes Telecom head Tanny Price, who will run Shebang Business Solutions from next month.
Heald left the network of his own volition and was not part of the recent round of job cuts.
Heald, who dealt with Shebang at Orange, will be responsible for maintaining and improving relationships between Shebang and its network partners, manufacturers, retailers and franchisees, and look at ways to add value to the business.
Heald said: “Having been at Everything Everywhere and Orange, I’ve worked with Shebang in the past and have seen the level of growth that it has been achieving. I don’t believe there is another company doing exciting things in so many areas such as retail, franchising, B2B and online, with some great partnerships it has in place. It’s a really exciting mix.”
Shebang group managing director Iain Humphrey added: “Steve is the type of personality we’re bringing into the business at the moment.
“With the addition of Tanny, as well as those already here, such as Jolyon Bennett (Shebang Logistics Solutions managing director) and Julian Burton (Shebang Consumer Solutions managing director), we have a team that can produce results.”
