Group Texting Servicem, GroupFlier, GroupFlier for Android, GroupFlier for iPhone
Group texting service GroupFlier today announced that its free group text messaging app is now available on the Android Market as well as on the iPhone App Store. GroupFlier allows any community of friends — club, team, class or party — to use a single text message to reach everyone in the group at once. Users can also create public groups of curated texts open to anyone wishing to join.
The Android and iPhone apps allow users to receive and send texts to groups directly from the mobile app. In the mobile app, users get a list of their current texting groups with an indicator of unread messages. The mobile apps also let users create new groups. Both apps use the native notification systems on iPhone and Android to keep users up to the minute on the latest messages between group members.
Most recently GroupFlier announced it was the official group texting app for Style X (pronounced “style by”), connecting fashion designers and musicians at the South by Southwest SXSW 2011 event this week in Austin, Texas. To join, people can also simply visit http://groupflier.com and click “Public Groups.”
