T-Mobile USA is not going to launch the LG G-Slate the only dual-core Android device, but also the second one that is the LG Optimus 2X smartphone which is already available in South Korea, and coming to Europe this month.
T-Mobile’s version of the Optimus 2X will be called G2X – however, I don’t think it will be a successor to the T-Mobile G2 (aka HTC Desire Z), but an addition to it. Though there is no word on when T-Mobile indents to release the G2X, and neither for what price.
Optimus 2X is the world’s first smartphone to use Nvidia’s Tegra 2 processor. It runs Android 2.2 (an upgrade to Android 2.3 will be available later this year) and features a 4 inch WVGA display, Wi-Fi, GPS, HDMI-out, 8MP autofocus camera, HD (1080p@24fps) video recording, and 8GB of on-board memory. Most probably, T-Mobile’s G2X will also have the same features.
