In view of the fact, that its executive inauguration in the US, it was clear that the HTC 7 PRO would finally be headed to Europe as well.
In fact, the given time frame was ‘early next year’ –that’s 2011 for you and me. So here we are, early this year, and the Pro 7 is already sold by O2 in Germany.
In the UK, no operator has picked it up yet, but that doesn’t stop third-party independent online retailer Clove from launching it. They have it in stock as of now, and it costs 432, with VAT included. For that price, Clove even throws in a free HTC Bluetooth headset (which is a 30 value). So of the two QWERTY-packing WP7 devices out there, one has finally made it to the UK, while the other is eternally delayed.
Those in dire need of a QWERTY-equipped WP7 device in the UK will probably opt to go for the HTC 7 Pro with its more traditional form factor, rather than the Dell Venue Pro, which, aside from having a rare form factor, isn’t even available. At least the WP7 market in the UK isn’t dominated by full-touchscreen slabs/slates anymore.
