Palm Pre Plus gets webOS 2.1 in Germany starting now
The title, I guess, already says it all. O2 Palm Pre Plus owners can now upgrade to webOS 2, raising hope that other webOS supporting carriers in other countries will soon be following suit as well. With this surprising turn of events, the question now is – will you be waiting for an appropriate webOS 2 update to be outed for your device, or will you ditch your current webOS smartphone so that you can get first dibs on either the HP Pre 3 or HP Veer once they’re released locally?

Square Sacrifices Revenues to Ramp Mobile Payment Volumes
Here’s good news for those of you budding entrepreneurs out there interested in getting the services of Square for their mobile payment needs. In a bid to lure in more customers to their side of the fence, they’ve just announced they’ll be dropping the additional 15 cent charge per transaction. This means merchants will only pay for the 2.75% per transaction charge for keyed in payments. A great move that will definitely help improved their current subscriber base.

SOLUTION: How to get a frozen Windows Phone 7 back alive after the Update failed?
While others continue to wait for the first ever Windows Phone 7 to become available in their neck of the woods, others, meanwhile, are dealing with a frozen device. Say what? Yes, that’s right. Reports are coming in that some users are getting stuck at 99% in the backup stage, and nothing happens for nearly an hour. We don’t know widespread this problem is, but the good news is there is a suggested fix for this already. The bad news is you’ll have to skip the current update since using it will only result in the same error. You should just wait for a new update, which they expect to be out in 3 days time. If the said workaround fails, it’s recommended you consult your device’s documentation on how to hard reset it “to factory default to bring the device back.”
