Announced last month as the successor of the popular Star S5230, Samsung Star II S5260 will unveil in the UK soon, where Orange is getting ready to offer it to its customers.
However the handset won’t be called Star II, though, but Samsung Tocco Icon-which sounds good, since the first Star is also called Samsung Tocco Lite in the UK.
Star II / Tocco Icon is an reasonable 2G touchscreen phone with a 3-inch WQVGA display, social networking integration, HTML browser, Wi-Fi, 3.15MP camera, MicroSD card support, 3.5mm headset jack, TouchWiz UI, and a Bluetooth 3.0. In fact, the Tocco Icon will be available at Orange UK only to PAYG users. Perhaps the price of the device is yet to be known at the moment. An additional new device that’s coming to Orange UK soon is the LG Pecan. Unlike the Samsung Tocco Icon, which is a feature phone, this is a smartphone that runs Android 2.2.
