Qik announces Qik Video Connect iPhone app, launches today
So, how’s this different from the original Qik app? Well, apart from the standard live video streaming, Qik Video Connect ups the ante by adding live video calling over 3G and WiFi, video sharing, and video messaging. This is free to download though isn’t available yet. If you can’t wait and don’t mind paying $2.99, there’s a Quick Video Connect Plus you can purchase which throws in real-time video effects, editing, and HD video uploads into the mix.

WIND announces the Nokia C7, Silver LG dLite and says “Nexus S could be next”
Wind Mobile will be releasing the Nokia C7 on the 18th, while the LG dLite will also be debuting this week. As far as the Nexus S is concerned, no word yet on when that hot Android phone will be outed by Wind, but news that it’s possibly coming to the Canadian carrier should be good enough on its own.

A Legacy Lives On: T-Mobile Sidekick Reborn As The Android-Powered Sidekick 4G
The Sidekick lives on thanks to T-Mobile, Samsung and Android. Known as the Sidekick 4G, this new QWERTY-packing T-Mobile-bound handset sports a 3.5-inch touchscreen, 3-megapixel camera, and runs on a 1GHz Hummingbird processor with a bevy of apps to boot, including everyone’s fav nowadays, Facebook and Twitter. Pricing and availability, however, are both still unknown.

Various upcoming TELUS OS upgrades: Android, BlackBerry, WP7
Barring any complications, here’s when you can expect the various OS upgrades to be rolled out by Telus: HTC Desire, Desire HD (Gingerbread upgrade) coming this spring; BlackBerry Pearl 9100 (BlackBerry 6 upgrade) due in the next few weeks or early spring at the latest; LG Optimus 7, HTC Surround 7 (NoDo update) should arrive in the next few weeks.

HTC Prime Windows Phone 7 With Slideout Keyboard Revealed
This unofficial Windows Phone 7 handset reportedly comes with a 480×800 resolution 3.7-inch touchscreen, a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, WiFi, Bluetooth, and 512MB of RAM. When this baby will be announced is anybody’s guess at this point in time, but one thing we do now thanks to this leak, HTC’s got a new QWERTY Windows Phone 7 handset on the way.
