Will Verizon iPhone Kill HTC Thunderbolt Release?

At CES 2011 Show the new HTC Thunderbolt was announced and we mentioned a few things about this new smartphone and like others we would love to know if the Verizon iPhone would kill the new HTC Thunderbolt Release?

We have mentioned a few things about the new HTC Thunderbolt including its specifications and it being handled on video (See Here), on the specs side of things the HTC handset will feature a 4.3-inch WVGA display, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 8-megapixel camera with 720p video recording, HTC Sense 2.0, 1.3-megapixel front facing camera for things like Skype mobile video chat and Dolby surround sound.

Now seeing as tomorrow (Tuesday 11, January) is the day of the new Verizon iPhone announcement at the Verizon Press Conference will anyone be bothered to think about the new HTC Thunderbolt, it has been rumoured that the new Verizon iPhone will release at the end of January and we know many customers have been waiting on the Apple smartphone, which leaves us all to believe that no other new smartphone being released by Verizon will be hot of the shelve.

Looking over on HTC Pedia they say that the HTC Droid Incredible and Thunderbolt are the top-tier smartphones for Verizon’s lineup even though conditions of both phone’s launches could not be more different, the HTC Incredible was released in 2009 and its only competition was the Motorola Droid and now that the Verizon iPhone is being released is their going to be any competition at all.

Verizon have a lot of smartphones on its list including the iPhone, HTC Thunderbolt, Droid Incredible, Droid 2 Global, Samsung Fascinate, Droid Bionic, Samsung 4G LTE, Droid X, Droid Pro and the Motorola Atrix 4G.

They have a massive line-up and we would love to know what smartphone mentioned above would you choose and if the HTC Thunderbolt has no chance of shining considering the Verizon iPhone is being released, we would love to know what your views are.
