When it comes to the home broadband and mobile broadband stakes for last year, it appears that British Telecom has taken the top slot for home broadband while Three Mobile grabbed the top slot in mobile broadband according to the latest charts.
According to an article over on comparison website Broadband Genie, BT fended off strong opposition from Plusnet while Three Mobile took thee top place in mobile broadband with Vodafone snapping at their heels but coming in second place.
The marketing director of BT Consumer, David James has said…“We are delighted that BT Total broadband and BT Infinity have proved popular with Broadband Genie users. Last year over a million new customers joined BT for the most complete broadband. We are constantly developing our packages; in the last year alone we have included access to two million free wi-fi hotspots, up to 40Mb speeds with BT Infinity and inclusive unlimited UK calls as part of our latest deal.”
While the head of Three Mobile Broadband, David Kerrigan stated…“We’re delighted to learn that we’ve led the way in mobile broadband sales through Broadband Genie. It’s testament to the investment we have made in our 3G network, which now covers 97.3% of the UK population, and our YouGov accolade as the number one network for mobile broadband.”
O2 home broadband was last year’s success but came in 5th this time round falling behind Sky broadband in 3rd and Virgin Media in 4th. On the mobile broadband stakes T-Mobile came in 3rd, O2 Mobile 4th and Orange Mobile 5th.
