Pure Mobile managing director Marcus Richardson reckons 2011 for the dealer market will be characterised by consolidation
“It will be a year of opportunity for dealers that are fit for the fight, with capability and qualitative measurements now at the forefront of discussions with operators.
“Network consolidation and emerging technologies have put pressure on many dealers to review business practices and to ‘wake up’ and invest in a new world, or else exit.
“2011 will see fewer players with a broader depth of capability.
“There is a question about the kind of support from banks available to SMEs in 2011, which will play a part in the private sector’s appetite for investment in organic and acquisitive growth.
“But clearly, one way or another, the dealer channel will consolidate.”
