Green with envy of the new WiFi hotspot feature on the just announced CDMA iPhone? Well, be jealous no more as we hear it’ll soon be available on GSM iPhones as well.
The Personal Hotspot feature on the Verizon iPhone is part of its new firmware, iOS 4.2.5. Just for the record, the latest firmware for the GSM iPhone 4 is iOS 4.2.1. Based on reports by two credible sites – iPhoneclub and iPhoneHellas, Apple will roll out this 3G internet sharing in early February, on the 10th to be exact, as one of the new treats on the upcoming iOS 4.3 firmware upgrade.
Now, we understand your skepticism with this one, but mind you, both sites have a pretty good track record as far iOS updates are concerned. Now, unless it’s ne evidence surfaces to say otherwise, we’re pretty much on their side with this one.
