“Great value offers for high-end BlackBerry phones for example and demand for these handsets has far exceeded even our expectations, indicating they are set to be an even bigger breakthrough device for consumers in 2011.
“Watching TV on a mobile is now coming of age with larger screens and ‘Player’ applications offered by many organisations and broadcasters.
“The resulting impact of all this data consumption will cause some operators to carefully consider how to best manage this surge and we’re already seeing some interesting new offers.
“We’ve long seen an insatiable appetite for data from both our fixed-line and mobile customers and it shows no sign of relenting.”
